Technique using balloons of the same size

As with the last technique, blow up several balloons for each session but all of the same size - but this time blow up the balloons slightly bigger at each session.

The principle behind popping balloons of increasing size in a single session is that once you have become used to a small pop then a slightly larger pop is not too much different and should be bearable and if you have popped a balloon that is bigger than any balloon you have comfortably popped before then you can, quite rightly, congratulate yourself, and it will give you the confidence to have another session the following day.

The principle behind popping balloons of the same size in any one session is that you can rely on the confidence you built up to in the previous session and by popping a balloon that is bigger than the previous session you have immediately taken a further step - popping more balloons of the same size will underline the fact that you have got to this stage and will reinforce the fact that you are capable of doing this.

Do whatever works for you - mix the two methods if that helps - maybe have four or five balloons of different sizes and another five of the largest size to reinforce the stage you have reached in that session.
